A Gelatos Tutorial with Kel...

Good morning scrappy friends,

It's Kel here with you today sharing what I have recently completed using Gelatos that Peta has recently started stocking at
Scrapbooking From Scratch.
I, myself, have only just jumped on this latest trend
in the scrap booking world and have had fun playing :)

To start my page, I first covered my cardstock with gesso then drew onto the cardstock with my gelatoes...
obviously the more gelatos you use the more vibrant the colour will be.
Next I grabbed myself some of these wonderful things......

Baby wipes!!!.....and simply rubbed the wipes across my page to help make the gelatos blend into the page...

Here, you can see where I have blended the yellow into the page, but not the pink/coral colour..the wipes make it so easy to blend the colours together and not have the stripey look the gelatos would otherwise leave.
You can also stamp onto the top of the gelatos....

Next on my page, I decided to use the gelatos to dress up my chipboard piece. Again, I used gesso on the chipboard first to make the colour pop...

Next, I simply coloured in the chipboard...

then used a watercolour brush to blend in the colour...
(Peta also stocks these in the shop!!)

Last step, I used some dimensional magic (or you could use glossy accents) to give the chipboard some shine....

And here is my completed page...

Be sure to check out all the amazing colours Peta has in the shop...
(I'm thinking I may have to add some more to my stash too :)

and if your looking for more ways/ideas to give gelatos a try, there are plenty of videos on You Tube to inspire you.

Thanks for stopping by,
Kel
