WOW - Feb Anita

Hi Peeps - Anita here & this week I'm going to tell you
about an awesome product that I LOVE!!!!

POSCA PAINT PENS

As I've gotten back into my arty groove,
I love to get messy with my scrapbooking these
days (if you hadn't already guessed LOL)
So when you ink, paint, spray or whatever is
you like to do to your layout - I find a little
bit of doodling always help finish or emphasize
details.

I literally use my black pen on EVERYTHING!!
They are fantastic for doodling borders on photos

Here are a few examples where I've used
the Posca pens...
You can get these at SFS HERE
So start doodling today!!!
Cheers, Anita :)

ROAD TESTING with Anita

ROAD TESTING with Anita
Hey peeps! Anita here, & this a brand new thing we will be doing at SFS
& 'Road Testing' new goodies. This month's road test is using the
MME Record It Cards -'Just Splendid'
This pack is CHOCKAS!!!!
It comes with 72 double-sided 3x4 cards, 38 double-sided 6x4 cards,
4 wood veneer cards (3x4 & 6x4)

It would be a great pack to give as a gift to someone who is starting out
doing pocket styled scrapbooking!

Here are the 3x4 & 6x4 Wood Veneer cards.
These are really light - more like a balsa wood than a veneer, but just as strong.
The only thing I found was that the 3x4 cards were quite 'tight' to get into the 3x4 pockets.
I tried in BH Project Life, EP Photo Freedom, & Sn@p. They fit well in the sn@p ones,
as their pockets always are a bit bigger. The 6x4's fit in any of them - no dramas :)
I have photographed ALL the cards, so you can see them all before buying ;)
The cards themselves aren't as thick as the BH Project Life ones, but still work
just as well for any pocket-paged spread. I like to splat paint & mess up my cards
(they didn't like the heat gun much LOL).

You get 3 of each card design!! I love that I don't have to squirrel away my fav card,
cause it's too pretty to use - cause I have 2 more exactly the same he hehe :)

The 3x4 Cards

 The 6x4 cards

This is my Double PL Spread I did using the cards. This is my little
niece, Charlotte. I love the colours (not too bright, not too dull).
These could be used for all sorts of themes: Baby, Party, Boys, Girls etc.

 Some close ups...
Other bits I have used are: Enamel dots, OA alphas, AC Thickers,
Posca paint pens, cardstock pieces cut on my Silhouette, washi tape,
HS Colour Shine & SC Wood veneers.

I'll be back on Wednesday with my WOW - so make sure you
pop back over to check it out ;)

Project Life - Themed Cards - School...

Hello Ladies!

Well, I'm assuming most of us have had all our children back off to school. So I thought, why not show a Project Life Spread using the fabulous ...

Becky Higgins has released lots of different themed packs to document 'those' moments in your lives.
 - you can find them HERE
{I have quite a few in my stash - they really do come in handy!}

The great thing about these cards is that they don't really need too much embellishing!
All I really had to do was add the photos of the "first day of school"
and then add all of the journalling

I love that there are some really cute school journalling cards with plenty of room to tell the story of the day!
I then added a few Studio Calico Wood Veneer Embellishments & Me & My Big Ideas Clear Stickers and a little more doodling...

The School Fillers cards are CUTE and all I did was doodled around the edge, just to highlight the picture a little more...

These are perfect for your Project Life School Spreads, not just for the first day but all those other special days throughout the year too - I am sure you will see them through my Project Life 2014 album that is for sure!

Hope you are having a WOW of a Wednesday!

I hope I have inspired you to Project Life your kids first day of school!

Step by Step with Kel...

Hi everyone,

It's Kel here today to share a step by step with you, using my DT kit which features the NEW Echo Park "That's my Boy" range. It's a gorgeous boy range filled with cute stickers and primary colours, and I would have to say, this would have to be one of the best kits I have worked with in quite some time! You can find this kit in the SFS shop HERE.

So here we go.... I have used a landscape 6 x 4 inch photo.

1. For my background I used a Kraft piece of cardstock which I sprayed with blue mist and added some splats of black ink. You could use any matching colours or even leave your background plain.

2. From the 'Controller' paper cut 7" across and 8" down. We are using the yellow side of the paper.

3. Cut two 3x4 cards from the cut apart sheet.

3. Use your craft knife to cut the banners and layer onto photo.

4. Stick down photo on yellow paper. Next, cut the striped 3 x 4" card in half and place above your photo and below the yellow paper as shown.

5. Cut the 'awesome, boys etc' 3 x 4" card from cut apart sheet and place to the bottom right of your photo.

6. Add blue arrow from sticker sheet and adhere with foam dots.

7. Using stickers, layer to the bottom of your page.

8. Add flair badge and twine above the 'Awesome' 3 x 4" card.

9. Paint 3 wood stars red and ad around your page. (You could leave raw.)

10. Add a border strip along the bottom of the yellow paper.

11. Now add a title below the photo. I used alphas from the sticker sheet and some Thickers from my stash.

12. To add a finishing touch, I outlined the smaller alphas and doodled around the edges of my papers. Here is my finished page..

And there you have it... I hope you enjoyed creating a page without having to do the thinking!

I have created 4 pages using this kit so keep your eyes out for the remaining 3!

What's on Wednesday!

Hi! Welcome to What's on Wednesday!

I hope you have seen our re-vamped challenges for this year. We are now having a PL challenge and a sketch challenge. It was my turn  this month to do the PL challenge.... and I started with an easy one.... use two different designs of pocket pages for your PL album.. Easy Peasy!

I thought I would share another sample of how I have used different page layouts to document an event.
I have documented Australia day, which we were lucky enough to spend with Peta and her gorgeous family.

Design G

We had heaps of photos from this day, so I added a Design I in the middle, that way I have them all!

And for the next one I used Design W, which will be re-stocked in the shop soon.

I hope this inspires you to to play along with our challenge this month....

Thanks for stopping by
